REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS
SPECIFICATIONS/SCOPE
Through this Request for Quotations (RFQ), Surrey Police Service (SPS) is inviting quotations from suppliers (each, a Contractor) for the supply of goods described in Part 2, Schedule A – Specifications/Scope. SPS intends to select one or more Contractors to meet the requirements of this RFQ.
GENERAL
Scope. Fabrication and supply of goods, spare parts, items and accessories as described in this Schedule (the “Goods”), and all ancillary and related services.
Standards. All Goods to be new from factory (not remanufactured, reconditioned, seconds, or surplus), the current production model and configuration at time of requisition, unless otherwise specified by SPS, and meet or exceed legal requirements and national or industry standards and codes.
Artwork. Prior to issuing a Requisition, SPS will provide the Contractor a copy of the artwork and colour schemes to be used in the fabrication of the Goods to enable the Contractor to prepare the necessary dies, prototypes and Goods. The artwork is, and at all times remains, the property of SPS and shall not be used by the Contractor for any other purpose other than the fabrication and supply of the Goods for SPS.
Prototypes. Upon receipt of the artwork and prior to commencing the fulfillment of a Requisition, the Contractor will work together with SPS to design the Goods, and the Contractor, at its own cost and expense, will deliver to SPS a sample/prototype of the Goods reflecting the final work product for SPS’s review and approval. The Contractor shall make the changes requested by SPS to ensure the Goods meet the requirements to SPS’s satisfaction. The Contractor shall not commence fulfillment of the Requisition until SPS has granted written approval of the prototype(s), and the Goods delivered shall conform to specifications of the approved prototypes.
SPARE PARTS
Spare parts are to be interchangeable with, of the same standards, specifications and quality as the original parts, not void any warranties applicable to the Goods, and otherwise meet the requirements of the contract terms. SPS may, at its option, obtain spare parts directly from the suppliers/manufacturers, in which event, the Contractor will provide SPS the suppliers’/manufacturers’ contact details and parts numbers upon request.
ADDENDA
Addenda will be posted to: www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca and www.surrey.ca . If SPS delivered this RFQ directly to Contractors, SPS may deliver addenda directly to those Contractors.
All inquiries related to this RFQ should be directed in writing to the contact person named above.
