REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS

SPECIFICATIONS OF GOODS AND SCOPE OF WORK

The specifications of Goods and scope of Work includes the provision of all labour, supervision, materials, plant, equipment, layout, survey, permits, and inspections, for a fire panel replacement at Surrey Arts Centre, 13750 – 88th Avenue, Surrey, British Columbia, V3W 3L1.

The general components of the Work includes but is not limited to the following:

(a) Provide like for like replacement of existing simplex fire alarm system devices with new simplex devices as per new layouts, existing wiring shall be retained other preapproved supplier is Mircom.
(b) Replace existing simplex annunciator panel with simplex 4100 ES Fire Alarm Panel. Provide new Simplex Annunciator panel. Refer to drawings.
(c) Contractor shall review all flow and tamper switches and reconnect to new system.
(d) Contractor shall allow for disconnection and reconnection of existing fire alarm monitoring system.
(e) Existing mounting heights of fire alarm devices shall remain.

INFORMATION MEETING

An information meeting will be hosted by the City Representative to discuss the City’s requirements under this RFQ (the “Information Meeting”). While attendance is at the discretion of Contractors, Contractors who do not attend will be deemed to have attended the Information Meeting and to have received all of the information given at the Information Meeting. At the time of issuance of this RFQ a meeting has been scheduled as follows:

ADDENDA

If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the City Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca and the City website at www.surrey.ca (collectively, the “Websites”), and upon posting, any addenda will form a part of this RFQ. It is the responsibility of Contractors to check the Websites for addenda. The only way this RFQ may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum. No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFQ or may be relied upon by any Contractor. By delivery of a Quotation the Contractor is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFQ, including any and all addenda.
