Addendum

Request for Quotations

PURPOSE

The City invites Quotations from experienced and qualified Contractors for the provision of everything required including all skilled labour, tools, materials, equipment for Traffic Control Services and any other requirements.

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

The scope of the Services will include, but is not limited to, the provision of temporary traffic control services generally consisting of the following categories:

(a) job site flagging for City Crews and City Contractors working on City maintenance programs and projects;

(b) traffic control plans, which includes but is not limited to the following:

  • (i) traffic control plan without detour;
  • (ii) traffic control plan with detour; and,
  • (iii) traffic control plan for sidewalk closures;

(c) set-up, mobilization and demobilization of all required personnel;

(d) set up and removal of all traffic control equipment, devices, signs, and materials;

(e) work around and direct heavy equipment, vehicle and pedestrian traffic safely;

(f) closing streets, lanes or sidewalks with or without detours;

(g) traffic control planning and consulting (as required);

(h) attend meetings; and

(i) available at all times 24/7/365.

ADDENDA

If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the City’s Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid Website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca (the “BC Bid Website”) and the City Website at www.surrey.ca (the “City Website”) that will form a part of this RFQ.  It is the responsibility of Contractor to check the BC Bid Website and the City Website for addenda.  The only way this RFQ may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum.  No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFQ or may be relied upon by any Contractor.  By delivery of a Quotation, the Contractor is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFQ, including any and all addenda.
