Addendum

REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS

SPECIFICATIONS OF GOODS AND SCOPE OF SERVICES

The Contractor will provide everything needed to meet all the requirements of this Agreement including, without limitation any and all labour, materials, tools and equipment and transportation necessary to provide herbicide application for the purpose of selective vegetation maintenance on City land. All Services must be performed to the complete satisfaction of the City.

The City will provide an annual scheduled work program.

The Services must be done in accordance with:
• Provincial pesticide regulations;
• City of Surrey Integrated Pest Management Policy;
• City of Surrey Pesticide Use Bylaw No. 17160;
• City of Surrey Parks Construction Standards;
• Canadian Landscape Standards V.2; and,
• Metro Vancouver Invasive Species Best Management Practices.

Typical volume of work: The City anticipates requiring two crews of two for approximately 6 months for treatments (April – September). There are certain tasks that will require only one-person crews (such as treatment notice posting).

METHODOLOGY

The selective application of herbicides to specific invasive plants by a certified pesticide applicator (Pesticide Applicator), using a backpack sprayer, hand pump sprayer and potentially injection guns, in accordance with regulations and policies, in order to completely eradicate the plant. Invasive plants, such as knotweed, lamium, tansy, wild chervil, garlic mustard and blackberry and other invasive plants will be treated.

ADDENDA
If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the City Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid Website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca and the City Website at www.surrey.ca (collectively, the “Websites”), and upon posting, any addenda will form part of this RFQ. It is the responsibility of Contractors to check the Websites for addenda. The only way this RFQ may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum. No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFQ or may be relied upon by any Contractor. By delivery of a Quotation, the Contractor is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFQ, including any and all addenda.
