REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS

DESCRIPTION OF SCOPE OF WORK

The Work covered under this project consists of the furnishing of all superintendence, overhead, labour, coordination, disposals, materials, tools, equipment, insurance, fuel, transportation and all things necessary for and incidental to the satisfactory performance and completion of construction and renovation of RCMP HQ – Flooring Replacement, located at 14355 57 Ave., Surrey, British Columbia (the “Place of Work”) in strict accordance with the Specifications and accompanying Drawings and subject to all terms and conditions of the Contract.

The general components of the Work include:
• Verify the flooring dimensions to accurately determine material requirements
• Material supply, storage, handling, and acclimatization
• Removal and disposal of all existing flooring and baseboard related material and adhesives, as required to allow for new material install
• All furniture lifting and moving as required to complete installation
• Complete subfloor and underlayment preparation and testing in strict accordance with manufacturers requirements, including but not limited to moisture, pH, temperature, and bond testing
• Supply and install of new flooring including approximately 27,500 sq. ft. of carpet, 3,700 sq. ft. of sheet vinyl, 1,300 sq. ft. of luxury vinyl tile, transitions, and rubber base boards, strictly as per manufacturers installation instructions and including the use of only manufacturer recommended adhesives
• Supply of 3% surplus material as specified

INFORMATION MEETING

An information meeting will be hosted by the City Representative to discuss the City’s requirements under this RFQ (the “Information Meeting”). While attendance is at the discretion of Contractors, Contractors who do not attend will be deemed to have attended the Information Meeting and to have received all of the information given at the Information Meeting. Contractors should meet outside main front entrance on South side of building. Personal ID must be left with reception sign-in for visitor’s pass for the duration of the information meeting.

ADDENDA

If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the City Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca and the City website at www.surrey.ca (collectively, the “Websites”), and upon posting, any addenda will form a part of this RFQ. It is the responsibility of Contractors to check the Websites for addenda. The only way this RFQ may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum. No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFQ or may be relied upon by any Contractor. By delivery of a Quotation the Contractor is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFQ, including any and all addenda.
