REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS

SPECIFICATIONS OF GOODS AND SCOPE OF SERVICES

For the provision of everything required including all skilled labour, tools, materials and equipment for stump grinding services and any other requirements. Services to be performed by the Contractor should include but are not limited to the following:

The two main work components to the Stump Grinding scope of services are the grinding of stumps and follow-up soil and grass seed installation.

The services will be carried out primarily for stumps located on residential boulevards and, to a lesser extent, parks, throughout the City of Surrey. The City will provide a list of stumps that require grinding. The grinding of these stumps, including soil and seed installation, is scheduled during seasonal periods when weather conditions are ideal for seed germination. There are two periods to complete this work, between March and June and between September and October.

Typically, the fall list has a greater number of sites to complete; as such, a second stump grinding unit will be necessary to complete the fall work within the identified timelines.

General
1.1 The Contractor shall supply all equipment and labour required to perform the service.

1.2 The Contractor shall perform stump grinding in accordance with the provisions of ANSI Z 133.1-2006 sections 5.1 “General” and 5.5 “Stump Cutters”.

1.3 All services will be recorded with the date the work was completed.
