REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS

DESCRIPTION OF SCOPE OF WORK

The Contractor shall furnish all necessary labour, supervision, materials, plant, equipment, layout, survey, permits, and inspections, and related services to pavement rehabilitation as noted in the Contract Drawings. Furnish certificates confirming work conforms to requirements of Authorities having jurisdiction.

The general components of Work includes, but is not limited to: Complete rehabilitation or replacement of pavement in two phases, including line painting and new curbs as indicated; and erosion and sediment control plan.

The Work will be undertaken at the Place of the Work, as follows: 2199 – 148 Street, Surrey, BC V4A 8L5.

The detailed scope of Work is as described in the Special Provisions (Schedule B – Appendix 1), Supplementary Specifications (Project) (Schedule B- Appendix 2), and Contract Drawings (listed below) (Schedule B – Appendix 2A).

Where a project specification does not exist, the default project specification shall adhere to MMCD specifications (excluding measurement and payment descriptions). The City has project specifications to MMCD which is included herein. These project specifications shall
take precedence over the basic MMCD specifications.

INFORMATION MEETING
An information meeting will be hosted by the City Representative to discuss the City’s requirements under this RFQ (the “Information Meeting”). While attendance is at the discretion of Contractors, Contractors who do not attend will be deemed to have attended
the Information Meeting and to have received all of the information given at the Information Meeting.

At the time of issuance of this RFQ a meeting has been scheduled as follows:

ADDENDA

If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the City Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid Website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca and the City Website at www.surrey.ca (collectively, the “Websites”), and upon posting, any addenda will form part of this RFQ. It is the responsibility of Contractors to check the Websites for addenda. The only way this RFQ may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum. No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFQ or may be relied upon by any Contractor. By delivery of a Quotation, the Contractor is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFQ, including any and all addenda.
