Request for Quotations

For the provision of everything required including all skilled labour, tools, materials, equipment for stump grinding services and any other requirements.

Services to be performed by the Contractor should include but are not limited to the following:

The two main work components to the Stump Grinding scope of services are the grinding of stumps and follow-up soil installation.

The services will be carried out primarily for stumps located on residential boulevards and, to a lesser extent, parks throughout the City of Surrey.  The City will provide a list of stumps that require grinding. The grinding of these stumps, including soil and seed installation, is scheduled during seasonal periods when weather conditions are ideal for seed germination. There are two periods to complete this work, specifically between March and June and between September and October. Note: Typically the fall list has a greater number of sites to complete; as such, the provision for a second stump grinding unit will be necessary to complete this work by the aforementioned timelines. Additional stump grinding may also be required throughout the year.

The approximate annual value of the contract is expected to be $60,000 per year this year; however, the City does not guarantee the value to be same in consequent years.
