SPECIFICATIONS OF GOODS AND SCOPE OF SERVICES

The City requires the Contractor to provide a weekly Workplace Garment Rental Service Program (the “Program”).  These Services will primarily be required by the City’s Engineering Department – Operations Division:  Mechanical Shops [Garage & Pumps & Controls] and Sanitary Sewer Sections.  Within each site there can be multiple drop of and pick-up points.  The Contractor is responsible for the delivery and pick-up at various sites, laundering and repair of all of its products.  Historically, the workplace garment usage has been heavier during winter months when staff may be changing workplace garments more frequently due to the wet weather.  This may translate into an expected increase in the service requirements.  The Contractor will need to monitor the service requirements with each department representative to meet actual service requirements throughout the term of a contract.

This Program includes all costs of supplying workplace garments including but not limited to:

(a) the pick-up and sorting of soiled workplace garments;
(b) cataloguing of all soiled workplace garments picked up for laundering;
(c) the laundering of workplace garments;
(d) the packaging/sorting of workplace garments;
(e) the delivery of laundered workplace garments;
(f) the fitting of workplace garments;
(g) repairs, alterations, and adjustments of workplace garments;
(h) replacements of workplace garments;
(i) stop service charge, invoicing/account maintenance service charges, environmental  fees, and fuel surcharge(s).
