The Realty Development Section manages the City’s upcoming development initiatives, which includes managing the redevelopment of City-owned lands, negotiating land leases, land acquisition and sales, all for City-building purposes. The Realty Development Section works closely with our Economic Development group to identify opportunities, and optimize the economic needs of the community for future growth.

 On-going initiatives include:

  • Centre Block Redevelopment – The redevelopment of Surrey Central will reshape the core of the City, providing opportunities for growth, employment and a vibrant cultural hub with high-quality public spaces, retail, restaurants and an enhanced transit system.   
  • Campbell Heights – Provides industrial and business park land lease opportunities to encourage employment for a thriving work force and economic growth while respecting the environmental and ecological balance of the area.
