The Investment & Intergovernmental Relations Department leads the Economic Development and Intergovernmental Relations Divisions, both of which work to ensure the City is recognized as a preferred location for and to facilitate economic investment in Surrey.
The General Manager of Investment and Intergovernmental Relations reports to the City Manager and is a member of the Senior Management Team, which provides overall corporate leadership to the organization.
The Economic Development Division is responsible for promoting business development and job creation in the City of Surrey by attracting new businesses, supporting businesses in their expansion or relocation to Surrey, and providing information on Surrey’s economic and business climate.
The Intergovernmental Relations Division is responsible for ensuring the City’s interests and needs are well understood by other orders of government and maximizing opportunities for partnerships with other orders of government.
