Department Overview

The Surrey RCMP is contracted to provide municipal policing to the City of Surrey. The Surrey RCMP aims to provide a sensitive, responsive, professional policing service for all Surrey communities. Assistant Commissioner Brian Edwards is the Officer in Charge of the Surrey detachment.

Surrey is the largest RCMP detachment in Canada with two main offices and five district offices across the city. The five district offices deliver a variety of community policing and crime prevention programs. The main detachment is the hub for general duty policing, support units and various specialized investigative teams. Look up our office addresses and hours.

Request a Safety Presentation

Community groups and organizations in Surrey can request an introduction to policing in Canada or personal safety presentation delivered by a police officer. Note that all requests must be submitted at least 3 weeks before the presentation date and group sizes are a minimum of 20 participants. Please email surrey_diversity@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
