      2018 Annual Municipal Report

      Pursuant to Section 98 of the Community Charter, S.B.C. 2003, c. 26, the Council of the City of Surrey seeks public input and will receive delegations in the Council Chamber at City Hall, 13450 – 104 Avenue, Surrey, B.C., on Monday, June 24, 2019, commencing at 7:00 p.m., to provide the public an opportunity to comment on or ask questions concerning the 2018 Annual Municipal Report.

      Copies of the 2018 Annual Municipal Report are available for public inspection at the Office of the City Clerk, Legislative Services Counter, City Hall, Monday through Friday (except statutory holidays) between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm or may be viewed on the City of Surrey’s website at www.surrey.ca.

      Should you have any concerns, comments or questions you wish to convey to Council concerning this Annual Report, please submit via fax at 604-501-7578, email clerks@surrey.ca  or submit them in writing to the City Clerk prior to 4:30 pm, Friday, June 21, 2019.

At the Monday, June 24, 2019 Public Hearing meeting, commencing at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 13450 104 Avenue, the Council of the City of Surrey invites you to voice your opinion regarding the following application:

Surrey Official Community Plan Amendment Bylaw No. 19863

Surrey Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 19864

Application: 7918-0450-00

Location: 8109, 8123 and 8135 King George Boulevard (8137 King George Boulevard)

New Zoning: CD

Purpose of Bylaws and Permit:

The applicant is seeking to amend the Official Community Plan by redesignating the site shown in grey on the location map from Urban to Multiple Residential and increasing the maximum allowable density from 1.5 to 2.52 Floor Area Ratio (FAR).  The applicant is also seeking to rezone the site from One‑Acre Residential Zone and Single Family Residential Zone to Comprehensive Development Zone.

The applicant is proposing to develop a 6-storey mixed-use building containing 100 residential rental units (30 market and 70 non-market units) and community services.

Surrey Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 19862

Location: 16174 - 80 Avenue

New Zoning: RF-13

Purpose of Bylaws and Permit:

The applicant is seeking to rezone a portion of the site shown in grey on the location map from One‑Acre Residential Zone to Single Family Residential (13) Zone.

The applicant is proposing to subdivide the site into 29 single family small lots; 1 lot to remain zoned One-Acre Residential and retain the existing house and accessory buildings; 2 park lots that will provide pedestrian connectivity over the Fortis right-of-way; and one park lot to be conveyed to the City for riparian area protection.

In addition, a Development Variance Permit is being sought to reduce the minimum side yard on a flanking street setback from 7.5 metres (25 ft.) to 4.1 metres (13 ft.) in order to accommodate the existing accessory building on the One-Acre Residential lot.

The applicant is seeking to rezone the site shown in grey on the location map from One‑Acre Residential Zone to Quarter Acre Residential Zone.

The applicant is proposing to subdivide the site into 7 single family suburban lots.

In addition, a Development Variance Permit is being sought to reduce the minimum front yard setback from 7.5 metres (25 ft.) to 6.0 metres (20 ft.) for the garage portion of the principal building on proposed Lot 6 in order to retain 2 additional trees within the rear yard.
