Meet Councillor Steven Pettigrew.

I have lived in Guildford since 2001, where I served as a Block Watch Captain and a Strata Council member for 14 years before I was elected to municipal office. I also led the Save Hawthorne Park Campaign. I care deeply about the environment and the legacy that we are leaving behind for our future generations. I am also a lifelong learner and have been described as a trailblazer and a positive disruptor.

Here are some of my guiding principles:

Change the World

1) Start the day with a task completed

2) Find someone to help you through life

3) Respect everyone

4) Life is not always fair, move forward

5) Don't be afraid to fail often

6) Take risks

7) Step up when times are toughest

8) Face down bullies

9) Lift up the downtrodden

10) Never give up

Serenity Prayer

God grant me the SERENITY to accept the things that I cannot change, the COURAGE to change the things I can and the WISDOM to know the difference.
