Surrey LRT

The Mayors’ Council 10-year Vision for Transit and Transportation identifies light rail as the best rapid transit choice to grow the Region’s network south of the Fraser.

The two-phased project will see 27-km of high-quality, street-level light rail transit transform Surrey into connected, complete and liveable communities. The Surrey-Newton-Guildford (SNG-LRT) Project is phase one, fully funded by three levels of government. The 10.5 kilometre route will connect residents in Guildford, City Centre and Newton with key destinations. Phase two is the 16.5 kilometre Surrey-Langley Line connecting Surrey and the Langleys via Fraser Highway.
