Releaf Tree Planting

Planting events are cancelled until further notice due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. All events organized by the City of Surrey that do not comply with public health orders have been postponed or cancelled until further notice to minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission.

Help grow Surrey's urban forest by planting trees and shrubs in Surrey parks!

Since 1991, volunteers have planted thousands of trees and shrubs. Each tree creates shade, improves air quality, provides food and shelter for wildlife, and boosts biodiversity in parks.

We provide the plants, shovels, and instruction - just bring your love for beautifying our City and enhancing Surrey's urban forest.

Public Events

We host public planting events every spring and fall.

Community Groups

Please contact us at with any planting enquiries.

Elementary Schools

Planting can potentially be included as part of our Park Stewards school program.

Secondary Schools

Each spring we plant in community parks and along boulevards. Since these trees are larger, we typically work with secondary school students.

Clubs and classes welcome. Contact us at to get involved.
