We’re taking a slow and cautious approach with the re-opening of our facilities. Most major civic facilities including Parks, Recreation & Culture and Library facilities remain closed until early September and possibly longer, dependant on three key factors: public safety, demand for service by the public in light of COVID-19 and related fiscal implications.

Staff are currently reviewing each facility alongside this criteria. Please follow surrey.ca/covid19 for facility re-opening updates.

Surrey's recreation facilities offer a variety of programs for all ages, abilities and fitness levels. Whether you're a beginner looking to ease into a new fitness routine or looking for a new way to stay fit, you'll find it in our modern, well-equipped facilities, led by experienced instructors.

Recreation Facility Features

  • personal training
  • weight rooms with strength training and cardio machines
  • fitness/cardio studios
  • fitness classes like indoor cycling, Zumba, pilates, bootcamp and more!
  • wellness classes like yoga, Tai Chi and meditation

Programs include both drop-in and registered classes. Before you get started, download the Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q+) to see if you're ready to safely participate in a physical activity. Need help with the equipment? Book a free fitness orientation.
