New & Upcoming Facilities

Surrey is a city abundant with parks, recreational facilities, and a vibrant arts, cultural and heritage community. The Parks, Recreation & Culture (PRC) Department plans and operates and builds on these assets to meet the needs of a diverse and growing community.

In 2018, Council endorsed a new PRC Strategic Plan which determines important funding and infrastructure decisions, including where and how money should be spent. These highlighted projects are featured within the PRC Strategic Plan and will be delivered in the near future.

North Surrey Sport & Ice Complex – New Facility

A new destination three ice sheet arena complex in North Surrey, located in Bridgeview, to replace the aging two ice sheet North Surrey Arena in City Centre.

Clayton Community Centre – New Facility

A new facility in Clayton Heights which will provide dedicated arts, library, recreation and outdoor space, integrated into a combined community facility.

Museum of Surrey – Facility Expansion

A new learning and discovery campus featuring a large exhibition gallery, children’s gallery, program rooms and workshop, and outdoor spaces for community gatherings and events.

Cloverdale Athletic Park – Athletics Expansion

An existing grass field will be converted into an artificial turf year-round sport field, and a new field house and washroom building will be added.

South Surrey Athletic Park – Athletics Expansion

New athletic facilities delivered through partnerships including a rugby fieldhouse and covered practice soccer facility.

Glades Garden Park – Park Expansion

Expansion will include a new garden building, garden expansion, washrooms, event space, parking lot, and a formal park entrance.
