North Surrey Sport & Ice Complex

North Surrey Sport and Ice Complex, underway for facility completion.

As part of Recreation Surrey's mission to build healthy communities where all people can be active and engaged, a new ice complex will be developed in North Surrey's diverse and growing community. The new North Surrey Sport & Ice Complex is scheduled to open in September 2019. 

Designed in partnership with Francl Architecture and the Lark Group, the new North Surrey Sport & Ice Complex will:

  • create welcoming arenas with gathering spaces
  • respond to emerging trends in arenas
  • create venue opportunities on site to support large events
  • increase recreation opportunities for ice and dry floor seasons
  • benefit minor sport hockey groups
  • alleviate waitlists for Learn to Skate programs 

Site Location

The new North Surrey Sport & Ice Complex will be located at 10950 126A Street, south of Scott Road Skytrain and Home Depot.

Facility Features

The new North Surrey Sport & Ice Complex will feature:

  • three sheets of ice
  • skate and helmet rentals
  • skate sharpening
  • community meeting spaces
  • food services
  • multi-purpose rooms
  • outdoor activity areas
  • public art by Katzie First Nation's artist Trenton Pierre
  • three-hour free parking

Coming in January 2020, the complex will have a fitness centre, yoga studio and indoor cycling. 

Ice rink

Natural light will create a nice environment in the rink. 

Ice is now installed in the rinks.

Spectator Seating

Spectator seating will be available for large sporting events. 

Dressing room

Spacious and well-lit dressing areas are now complete.

Fitness Space

The fitness centre is located on the second level and opens in January 2020.
