Curriculum Current Programs

Inspire your students with an experience of farm life at Historic Stewart Farm's 1894 farmhouse and grounds. The curriculum current programs are a great value, complete with teachers' notes, a resource listing, and pre and post program activities with project ideas, online and print resources, and a recommended reading and video listing.

The school programs are inquiry based and hands on. Our highly trained docents work with small groups and cater to different learning methods.

Browse the 2019-20 Stewart Farm School Program brochure. Registration for next school year is now open, with payment due next school year.

Referral Contest Alert!

Enjoyed your field trip to the farm? Refer a colleague and once they book a field trip, you receive a free copy of the award-winning local history book, Surrey: A City of Stories. Then both of you will be entered in a draw to win a pizza party for your class. The early bird prize will be drawn on September 13, 2019. See contest details.

Planning Your Visit

If you have some extra time before or after your school program, consider incorporating a tour of the grounds.  Follow this checklist before your visit to ensure your class has the best time possible:

  • Divide children into groups depending on the program
  • Arrive at least five minutes early
  • Make nametags for the children
  • Bring your camera
  • Turn off the ringer on your phone
