4. Active PLAYces Program

Time spent playing outdoors has significantly diminished over the years, so maybe it’s time to gather up the neighbours and declare “Game on!” You can borrow an Active PLAYces kit from the City of Surrey for up to seven days for just one dollar. Each kit contains a bag full of play equipment, including a basketball, football, dodgeball volleyball and soccer ball, plus a set of four hockey sticks, two safety alert markers and an oversized set of checkers. Active PLAYces aims to reduce barriers to play and encourage safe outdoor play and connections between neighbours.
