The Heritage Fair Process

This district fair is actually step two! First, classes or schools need to host their own smaller scale fairs and select students to bring their projects to the museum. Chosen students will then showcase their projects at the Regional Heritage Fair on May 8-9, 2020 in Delta.

Finally, select students will be invited to the Provincial Heritage Fair in July 2020. Learn more about the heritage fair program.

Assessment

The panel of judges is made of up of community members like museum curators, retired teachers and other history enthusiasts. In pairs, they evaluate project displays, interview students about their research and nominate students for awards. Heritage Fair projects are assessed by historical significance, evidence, presentation and interviews.
