Learn about the opportunities and culture of a fire service career through this one-day workshop. You'll get to meet with experienced female firefighters from the Surrey Fire Service.

Topics that will be discussed include the various steps of the recruitment process and the physical skills required of a firefighter. You will also have the opportunity to practice these skills for yourself and receive tips from fire service fitness instructors. These workshops are for ages 19+ only.

** These workshop are resuming with COVID restrictions in place to comply with public health orders and WorkSafe BC. Please cancel if you are experiencing any COVID-19 related symptoms on the day of or prior to the workshop. You will be screened on arrival.

What to Bring

Water bottle, athletic wear, non medical mask, any dietary restricted snacks. Lunch will be provided.

Please email Assistant Fire Chief Shelley Morris at SCMorris@surrey.ca to register. Provide a contact phone number, preferred date of workshop, and interest in the level 2 workshop. You will be contacted close to the workshop date for a $30 registration fee.
