Description: Style drawing on a romanticized image of a pioneer log cabin, with wraparound porch taken from Victorian examples, shed dormers and untreated materials taken from Craftsman. Built in 1914, with stone chimney, exposed rafters, and front gabled upper storey extending to front and rear edges of porch. Gilley brothers ran one of the largest Surrey logging operations, first to use steam power.
