TYMOSCHUK, Gary (SURREY FIRST EDUCATION)

Candidate for Office of School Trustee

I have been a Fleetwood resident for over 30 years.

I bring an excellent combination of community and business leadership experience to the role of School Trustee.

I have 7 years of School Board experience and 6 years of City Council experience.  I have also previously chaired Surrey’s Library Board, Parks & Recreation Commission and the Surrey Crime Prevention Society.

In business, I have over 30 years of management experience – currently Vice President of Operations for a charitable non-profit society.

I am very proud of the accomplishments our board has achieved over the past four years including new and expansion schools for 7,300 students and the highest completion rate ever in Surrey Schools which is 6.6% above the provincial average.

Through strong leadership, innovation and teamwork we will continue to create a safe, caring and inclusive environment for students and staff to excel, and for parents to be proud.
