Community organizers Lorene Oikawa and Tami Hirasawa will join artist Cindy Mochizuki to discuss the histories of Japanese settlement and farming in Surrey and the Fraser Valley and the role of memory and art in revealing the stories associated with place and their continued influence on the present. The conversation will be followed by a launch of the artist book Cindy Mochizuki: Autumn Strawberry.
