Join Claudia Tse, certified tea sommelier and Chinese Tea Master with Teakan Tea Co., for an immersive experience of the art of Gongfucha. Taste and learn about the historical and cultural significance of tea, honoring centuries of legacy and tradition. Explore the artistry of traditional teaware. Taste three premium Chinese teas, and discover their origins and terroir. Light treats provided. For ages 16+.

About the instructor
Claudia Tse is a curator of specialty tea and tea experiences. Claudia enjoys bringing people together through tea appreciation, education and practices. A certified THAC Tea Sommelier and Chinese Tea Master with TCI, you will find her brewing traditional Gongfucha one day, while creating tea mixology and pairing on another.
Claudia is co-founder of Teakan Tea, a women-owned boutique Tea Company based in Vancouver. They provide innovative and modern tea experiences, while honouring tea’s rich histories and cherished traditions.
Optional sip and learn add-on
Claudia Tse will also host a sip and learn session prior to the Chinese Tea Ceremony. Join her for an educational workshop on the evolution of tea – from its ancient Chinese origins to becoming a global phenomenon. Tea will be served before and after the session, followed by a Q&A.
