Bullying is a major problem in our schools, workplaces, homes and online. During the month of February, and throughout the year, CKNW Kids' Fund's Pink Shirt Day aims to raise awareness of these issues, as well as raise funds to support programs that foster children’s healthy self-esteem.
The focus of this year’s Pink Shirt Day (February 24, 2021) is on working together and treating others with dignity and respect. So, the City of Surrey's Community Safety section, in collaboration with Surrey RCMP Operations Support section and B.C.’s RCMP E-Division Youth Services, is encouraging Surrey youth to “lift each other up” by ending non-consensual distribution of intimate images—a form of cyberbullying.
Show your support for a chance to win 1 of 5 AirPods!
Between February 24 and March 2, excluding weekends:
- Share the #BlockEmDontShareEm video
- Include the hashtag #BlockEmDontShareEm
- Tag the City of Surrey on Facebook or Instagram
Winners will be chosen by random draw. See complete #BlockEmDontShareEm contest rules.
Non-consensual distribution of intimate images causes social and emotional harm and can lead to lifelong legal consequences for the sharer. Protect yourself and others: break the chain by deleting the image and never forwarding—not even to a best friend.
