Join us for a free Try-It Ball, Balance & Strength 55+ class. Lead by a certified instructor, use a stability ball to maintain and improve strength and balance. After the class, enjoy light refreshments in the lounge!

Concert Celebration: Someone Needs to Hear Your Story

10am–1:30pm | Surrey City Hall Centre Stage

This is your opportunity to hear live storytelling, gain valuable insight and be inspired to tell your story. Join Public Speaker and TEDxSurrey Host Noel Bentley for an exhibition on story telling that includes a tale from a local speaker and a chance for some in our audience to share their experience.

The Piano Men entertain you with an energetic show filled with musical magic. Putting their own, unique spin on time-tested musical favorites, The Piano Men—Richard Sera and Andre Kunkel—take dueling pianos to a whole new level. Expect to be dazzled by the simple, classic sound of two pianists belting out hits by the greats, including Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Billy Joel, and Elton John. These two high-energy performers are willing to try just about anything in the name of fun to guarantee an exciting show!   

Door prizes and complimentary box lunch following the show.

Seniors Week History Talk

10:30–11:30am | Online program via Microsoft Teams or Historic Stewart Farm House

Join us in person in the Stewart Hall, or from home online, for a discussion about the history of some favourite local spots in Surrey. Photographs, oral histories, research, and memories shared will inspire our conversation. Share memories and ideas, ask questions, and enjoy a discussion about local history.  
Tea and cookies provided (for in person participants).

Try-It Fitness Class: 55+ Lite 

10:30–11:30am | Cloverdale Recreation Centre

Try out a 55+ Lite Fitness class, lead be a qualified instructor. During this free try-it, enjoy low to moderate intensity exercise that introduces upper and lower body muscle conditioning and stretching. The use of a chair is optional. After the class, enjoy light refreshments in the lounge!

Historic Stewart Farm’s Seniors Week Celebration 

11am–2pm | Historic Stewart Farm House

Come celebrate Seniors Week at Historic Stewart Farm! Enjoy live music and performers, take part in heritage activities and demonstrations, tour the 1894 farmhouse, sample delicious homemade treats, and take part in some activities in recognition of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Chief Harley Chappell, Semiahmoo First Nation, will open the event with an important Indigenous perspective and welcoming remarks. Drop-in.

Museum of Surrey

Go to the Museum of Surrey to pick up your take-home craft package. While you’re there, explore the galleries including the Feature Exhibit activation, “Untangling Textiles” and the Indigenous Hall exhibit, “Body Languages: Indigenous Tattooing”. Admission to the Museum is free.
