About the Band
Hailing from Surrey, BC, Akaaljot and Satpreet Dhadda started their Classical Indian musical journey at the age of 5. The brothers learned the Tabla, a percussion instrument, from the Naad Foundation under the instruction of Amarjeet Singh. They excelled in their training and at the age of 10 performed at the prestigious Indian event Harivallabh Sangeet Sammelan. A few years later, Satpreet took on a string instrument named the Dilruba and provided accompaniment to Akaaljot on the Tabla. The duo has won numerous international, national and local awards in Classical Indian music.
