This one day event is for youth ages 13 to 14. Students must be in grade 9 to register for one of the three different streams available to choose from depending on the student's interests.
Join the City of Surrey's Park, Recreation and Culture team for Take Our Kids To Work Day for residents in our city who are unable to take their own kids to certain professional atmospheres. Groups of students will experience a sample workday and explore diverse career paths including outdoor recreation, event planning, cultural programming and volunteer opportunities.
All interested students must register by October 30 and bring a signed permission slip. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to discover the world of work with us!
Parks
Grade 9 students who enjoy being in nature, adventure, and environmental stewardship won’t want to miss this! Fun outdoor activities are planned, including, a professional arborist tree climbing demonstration and a stewardship planting at Bear Creek Park.

Grade 9 students can explore the world of recreation through a hands-on learning experience. Engaging in fitness fundamentals, day camp activities, and arena operations, students will gain practical skills and insights into the importance of recreational services and how to keep their community active and engaged.
