Aaron S Moran makes sculptures, public artworks, and photographs through the process of play. His work is created in studio, as well as in suburban neighbourhoods, parks, domestic spaces, and vacant lots, with only the materials he comes across. While the works touch on themes of sustainability, urban development, and the environment, they come together through an approach to materials and spaces that is rooted in playful exploration and experimentation.
Moran will share how a shift in thinking opened his practice to embrace temporary and ephemeral art, as well as new materials and methods of artmaking.
