Local artist Gabrielle Strauss invites people to explore the connection between art and soul, mind and body. Strauss’ paintings draw viewers into a dance of colour, light, and form. She will share her experience and approach to creating her mixed media and intuitive paintings.

Creating art is more than a strategic process for Strauss, but a form of spiritual connection. Her looser and freer style has led her to experiment with many artistic techniques and methods that have a healing effect upon her state of being.

About the Artist

Langley-based artist Gabrielle Strauss works on commissioned house and floral portraits and teaches intuitive painting, mixed media, style, and technique year-round. She was born in Austria where the artistic and intellectual legacy of that land shaped her childhood. Upon moving to Vancouver, she studied the techniques of her mentor, Robert Genn, where she began developing her signature style. She has exhibited in over fifty group and solo exhibitions. She is an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists.
