Surrey, B.C. – The 6th annual CAN Pro-Am Hockey Tournament will be held November 1–3, 2024, at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre and North Surrey Sport and Ice Complex. The tournament brings together NHL alumni and recreation or corporate teams in support of Canucks Autism Network (CAN).

“North Surrey Sport and Ice Complex will, once again, be the host venue for the 6th annual Pro-Am Hockey Tournament,” said Mayor Brenda Locke. “For hockey fans it will be a real treat to see a three-time Olympic gold medalist and many Canuck luminaries take to the ice. It is an honour for Surrey to host this entertaining event for such a worthy cause. If you are not lacing up the skates to play in the tourney, I invite you to come out to cheer the players on and support the Canucks Autism Network.”

Draft night will take place on November 1, 2024, at Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre. Teams who fundraise at least $25,000 will have the opportunity to draft an NHL alumnus. Participating alumni include Ryan Kesler, Jannik Hansen, Chris Higgins, Derek Roy, Kirk McLean, Dave Babych and Meghan Agosta.

“Our mission at Canucks Autism Network is to provide programs for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families, while promoting acceptance and inclusion through training and accessibility consultation,” said Canucks Autism Network Director of Development Ryan Yao. “The CAN Pro-Am, presented by Dallas Watt Demo, celebrates sport and community while raising vital funds to support the growing number of families and Autistic individuals looking to us for support.”

Over the weekend participants can enjoy three games at North Surrey Sport and Ice Complex, a fully stocked dressing room, personalized equipment and spectator tickets by donation. For event information, visit surrey.ca/canproam.
