Masks are mandatory and must be worn in all City facilities.

Due to COVID-19, Surrey City Hall is only open by appointment, while the Surrey Operations Centre is temporarily closed to the public. 

We encourage you to reach out to us online or over the phone to get the information you need. Many services that are done at City Hall are fully available online. See our full list of online services.

Pension Documents, Residency Letters and Proof of Life Documents

Set up an appointment to have your documents signed by calling 604-591-4132 or by emailing clerks@surrey.ca.

Due to COVID-19, there is a reduced level of staff that will be available to commission your documents. If you do not schedule an appointment, there may be significant wait times.

Property Taxes, Utilities & Dog Licensing

You can also log in to your MyProperty Account to get information about your accounts and sign up for e-billing to ensure that you receive information in a timely manner.

Property tax and utility payments can be completed online through your financial institution. Dog licence payments can be completed and new licenses can be purchased fully online through our online portal.

Planning, Development & Building

Digital Permit Intakes: Planning & Development permit applications can now be initiated digitally by emailing permitapplication@surrey.ca.You can also call 604-591-4086 for further information regarding permit applications.

Package Drop off and Pick up: Hard copies of plans, applications and other documents normally accepted at 2W, 3W and 4W counters are to be left in the drop box near the public entrance at Parking Level P1. Pick up of permits, plans and other documents normally from 2W, 3W and 4W is now at the Reception Desk at 1W.

Inspections: Building, Plumbing, Electrical and Trees and Landscape inspections are still being scheduled through our regular systems.
