Surrey, B.C. – The City of Surrey provides affordable, high-quality licensed childcare programs for children ages 3 to 5. Recipient of the Province of BC’s Child Care Award of Excellence, early registration for the City’s 2025-2026 preschools programs will take place Feb. 4 – 6.  

“The City of Surrey’s preschool programs encourage each child to explore, create, and grow in a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment,” said Mayor Brenda Locke. “Staffed by our certified Early Childhood Educators, the play-based program is built around children’s interests. With 17 locations across Surrey and program fees among the lowest in the city, I invite residents to make full use of our award-winning preschool program.” 

Early registration opens by community from Feb. 4 – 6 at 7:30 a.m. Sign up, online, by phone or in person.

  • Tuesday, February 4: Fleetwood, Guildford and Fraser Heights 
  • Wednesday, February 5: Cloverdale and Whalley 
  • Thursday, February 6: South Surrey and Newton 

“We look to inspire preschool children to learn both collaboratively and independently, according to their interests," said Laurie Cavan, General Manager of Parks, Recreation and Culture. “Our responsive programs align with the BC Ministry of Education Curriculum and strive to set a foundation of success for the child.” 

Patrons are encouraged to prepare for registration by ensuring a MySurrey account is created, and account information is up to date. It is recommended a family member is added to the account in advance by calling 604-501-5100 Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
