Surrey, BC– South Surrey’s Historic Stewart Farm reopened to the public February 2, offering multiple ways to experience the site at 13723 Crescent Rd. The new year also marks a return of their signature family events and programming for all ages.

“We are really looking forward to being able to welcome the community back in 2022,” said Curator Jerrilin Spence. “From programs and events to the return of in-person and remote school programs, day camps and more, there will be a lot happening this year.”

“We will take advantage of our wonderful outdoor space as well as offering activities indoors – all with measures in place to keep our visitors, staff and volunteers safe.”

The site will host a three-day weekend (Feb 19 to 21) of activities in celebration of Family Day from 12 to 4:30 p.m., daily. Enjoy a tour, take in a heritage demonstration, make crafts, and do a scavenger hunt.

And for those looking to pick up a new skill and connect with others, Historic Stewart Farm is committed to offering one-of-a-kind programs both in-person and online.

“From classic book clubs to baking lessons straight from our heritage kitchen, and even camps for the youngest time travelers to enjoy, we have something for everyone,” said Spence.

Open Wednesday to Sunday from 12 to 4:30 p.m., visitors can tour the farmhouse and grounds at their own pace or pre-register for a free one-hour tour with a costumed guide. For those unable to visit the site in-person, there is the option to take a virtual tour and participate in an online heritage activity.
