Opportunity for artists to learn to write grants
SAGA Thursday Artist Talk with Walter Quan
Surrey, BC – Surrey Art Gallery Association announces their first Thursday Artist Talk of the year: a two-part event with Walter Quan at Surrey Art Gallery on February 6 and 20 from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. titled “Grant Writing Workshop for Artists.” Admission is free.
This two-part workshop will offer artists guidance and tips for making successful grant applications. Part I will be informational, leading to a homework assignment of preparing a practice grant application (due within a week). Part II (two weeks later), participants will gather to “jury” the submissions and provide gentle critique to share how others may judge an application within a competitive process.
There are limited spots and registration is required at artgallery@surrey.ca. Participants must be able to attend both sessions.
