West Village Park
Visit West Village Park, a new mini park in City Centre and home of our district energy centre.
City parks are open for casual use. To minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission, stay home when sick, stay 2 metres apart, do not gather in groups, and wear a mask in crowded spaces. Spectators for outdoor sports are not permitted as per new public health orders.
Dawn until Dusk
West Village Park is a new 0.3 hectare (0.7 acres) neighbourhood park and one of 10 new parks being planned for City Centre. This mini-neighbourhood park is located west of the new civic core, half a block south of 104 Ave. The site includes the West Village Energy Centre, public art work by Erica Stocking called Blankets, a plaza, stage, green space, and children's play.
The park was designed through a community consultation process that included community surveying, neighbourhood meetings and a public open house. The park's concept plan was approved by Council in December 2015. Construction of the park and West Village Energy Centre was completed in Summer 2019.
