Spring Break options this year include limited camps and preschool programs in each community plus registered drop-in for swimming and skating for the entire family, virtual activities and more!

Spring Break Camps 

Limited camps with reduced capacity will operate with health protocols in place. Prepare to have fun outside and dress appropriately. 

Licensed Preschool Camp and Licensed Preschool Camp – Extended Hours 

Consider extended preschool hours for your child. Kids stay busy with activities that focus is on circle time, creative movement, storytelling, arts and exploration while building on their experiences.  

Fun Zone Camp – Children (6-12 years)  

Children will explore a variety of activities including sports, arts, crafts, music, dance and games. Different themes are featured each week. 

Arts Camps

Keep your children engaged over spring break with fun arts camps, both at the Surrey Arts Centre and Clayton Community Centre.  Sign them up for Clay Days, Theatre Smash Camp, Youth Pottery, Cartooning & Character Creation: Art Mash Up, Byte Camp: Claymation Movie Production or Arts Adventures.

Extraordinary Voyages at Historic Stewart Farm

Experience five adventures based on the books of Jules Verne! Campers will do crafts, play games, and explore history as they journey to the arctic, around the world, to the center of the Earth, under the sea, then blast off into space. Learn more.

Registered Drop-in Activities 

Make a Splash at Indoor Pools 

Bring your children to the pool for a leisure swim at Surrey Sport & Leisure Complex or Grandview Heights Aquatic CentreSwimming lessons will also be available for children to practice their skills at Grandview Heights Aquatic Centre! Registration is required for all pool activities and strict health protocols are in place to ensure the safety of everyone. Learn more.

Enjoy A Fun Skate at your local Arena 

Get ready to lace up your skates! Surrey Sport & Leisure ComplexCloverdale Arena and South Surrey Arena will offer registered public skating activities during spring break so your whole family can enjoy some time on the ice. Skating lessons for children will be available at Surrey Sport & Leisure Complex too. Please note: Skate and helmet rentals are available but must be pre-paid for by selecting the items you wish to rent during the registration. Learn more.

View the Latest Exhibits at Surrey Art Gallery 

Experience contemporary art by local, national and international artists, right here in Surrey! This free and creative outing is a great way to spend time with your family. The following exhibits must be pre-registered and mask use is mandatory inside Surrey Art Gallery:

Scavenger Hunt and Crafts at Museum of Surrey 

Book your free, one hour visit and treat your kids to a scavenger hunt, complete with a prize! When you leave, take home free a craft kit to keep the fun coming. There will also be two exhibits that will peak your children’s curiosity: magic and earthquakes! Please note: Masks are mandatory and must be worn at the Museum of Surrey. Learn more

Outdoor Fun 

Be Active Outdoors at Surrey Parks 

Smell the fresh air and explore all the outdoor opportunities in your community! Take a stroll through a nature trail and enjoy bird watching or bring your kids to play at their favourite playground. If you’re in the mood to burn off some energy, take advantage of our outdoor fitness equipment or play a game of tennis or pickleball at one of our courts. The options are endless, and best of all: free! Make sure you practice social distancing and wash your hands.  

Book an Outdoor Guided Tour at Historic Stewart Farm 

Take in some local history with a free guided outdoor tour of the farm's picturesque grounds! Perfect for a single-family household (six-person limit), discover the stories of the site with an informative guide.  

Tours of the historic site are available Thursday to Saturday afternoons from 1pm to 3:30pm. Guests are required to pre-register their group online. Learn more.  

Virtual Activities  

MYzone After School Program Resources 

Entertain your kids with a variety of at-home activities including indoor/virtual games, recipe ideas, DIY crafts, and learning resources. Activities are best suited for parents with children ages 8 to 12. 

Peer Mentorship Program  

Join a group of preteens (10-12 years) to create a project around an important community topic that we identify as a group. Work alongside peers, youth mentors and staff to make a difference in the community. This program runs Monday to Thursday from March 15 to 18 and March 22 to 25 at 11am to 12pm. Participation is online through Microsoft Teams. Learn more

Heritage Kitchen - Whipping Cream Scones

Join us digitally in the kitchen of Historic Stewart Farm as we learn how to make old fashioned food like the Stewarts used to. Watch a costumed guide lead you through the recipe, and learn handy tips and tricks to use at home. This interactive program is for people 19+ or families who want to invite the kids to learn about baking.  $10.50 per participant. Learn more.
