Birds Canada 

Birds Canada is the nations leading no-government organization dedicated to bird conservation. Their mission is to advance and encourage the wider understanding, appreciation, and conservation of wild birds and their habitats in Canada, through sound science, on-the-ground actions, innovative partnerships, public engagement and science-based advocacy. 

Burns Bog Conservation Society 

The Burns Bog Conservative Society is a non-profit organization that engages the local community in conserving and enhancing habitat within the Delta Nature Reserve Park. They provide educational programming and volunteer opportunities for hands-on ecological restoration work.  

Fraser River Discovery Centre 

The Fraser River Discovery Centre is a registered charity whose mission is to inspire passionate stewards of the river through interactive exhibits, hands-on programming, and so much more. 

Freshwater Fisheries Society of B.C. 

The Freshwater Fisheries Society of B.C. is a non-profit organization dedicated to the enhancement and conservation of B.C’s freshwater fish resources for the benefit of the public.

Friends of Semiahmoo Bay Society 

The Friends of Semiahmoo Bay Society is a non-profit group of community volunteers who work together to achieve common environmental conservation, restoration and educational goals. Their focus is the marine, estuarine and watershed ecosystems of Boundary Bay and South Surrey.

Green Timbers Heritage Society 

The Green Timbers Heritage Society is a registered non-profit organization that advocates for the preservation and enhancement of Green Timbers Forest. The Society is community organized and administers the Surrey’s Natural Areas Partnerships (SNAP) program.

Honeybee Centre 

Honeybee Centre is a commercial honey farm, country store, educational facility, CFIA registered packing facility, visitor attraction and so much more! They are your go-to resource for everything bees, and they think they're pretty sweet! 

Little Campbell Watershed Society 

Little Campbell Watershed Society volunteers focus on activities to preserve, enhance, and restore fish, wildlife, water resources and greenspace within the Little Campbell (Tatalu) River watershed. 

Metro Vancouver Regional Parks 

Regional parks are great places to go for a walk, breathe fresh air and enjoy the beauty of nature. But they’re more than that: they’re part of a larger system that includes regional park reserves, ecological conservancy areas and greenways. 

NatureKids BC  

NatureKids BC is a nature discovery and environmental action organization that helps children ages 5 to 12 and their families form meaningful and enduring connections with nature through their province-wide club-lead events and opportunities. They also publish NatureWILD magazine, B.C’s only home-grown nature magazine for children. 

Northern Spotted Owl Breeding Program 

This project, under the registered charity B.C. Conservation Foundation, aims to restore B.C’s endangered northern spotted owl across their range in B.C. through captive breeding and release into protected habitats. Additionally, this project offers educational opportunities about the owls and local conservation efforts.  

Ocean Park Beautification Committee

The Ocean Park Beautification Committee is a group of community volunteers focused on tree conservation and education in South Surrey. 

Ocean Park Community Association (OPCA)

Since 1925, the OPCA has served the Ocean Park community by organizing fun family events, hosting safety and beautification initiatives, providing a platform for community concerns and maintaining the heritage Ocean Park Hall.  

Serpentine Enhancement Society 

The Serpentine Enhancement Society is committed to enhancing and rebuilding all vulnerable fish species in the Serpentine River and to educating about protecting the health of the river.The volunteers operate the Tynehead Hatchery.  

Sunnyside Acres Heritage Society 

Sunnyside Acres Heritage Society is a registered charity for a not-for-profit organization. They work to endure the preservation of Sunnyside Acres Urban Forest Park for the benefit of our present and future generations. Anybody can join as a member at any time. 

Surrey’s Natural Areas Partnership (SNAP) 

SNAP is a unique collaboration between three local non-profit organizations and the City of Surrey Parks Division that share a common goal of bettering our urban forest through environmental education, restoration, enhancement and stewardship. Each partner brings distinct and valuable expertise, resources and perspectives to the partnership, making SNAP a truly extraordinary program.

Surrey Urban Farmers’ Market 

We are a vibrant, multi-cultural non-profit Farmers Market, promoting local farmers big and small, food producers, artisans, community groups and entertainers for the benefit of our diverse community. They host live entertainment, community workshops and kids’ activities while providing a shopping experience. Open on Saturdays from June to October. 

White Rock and Surrey Naturalists Society 

White Rock and Surrey Naturalists enjoy nature and seek to protect it through education and conservation. The group offers educational outings, presentations, and champions environmental stewardship in and around Surrey.
