Help Build Your Surrey Police

Please note: This website is for the proposed Surrey Police Department, which is not yet in operation. Anyone needing police services should dial 911 in an emergency or call the non-emergency reporting line at 604-599-0502.

One of the major benefits of having a city police department is that a locally accountable Police Board and the police department determine strategic priorities based solely on the needs of the City and its citizens. It's time to help build the Surrey Police by sharing your perspective.

There are many ways to get involved. Start by completing our survey to share your perspective on key safety issues in the community and where you want police to focus resources.

Take the Survey

Also we encourage you to attend one of the drop-in, open house style events where you can learn more about the reasons for the transition and what benefits a new model will provide for residents. At the events you’ll also be able to complete a survey, do some activities to rate the issues that are important to you, and provide your feedback on the policing transition.

Please note that these drop-in sessions do not have any presentations or speakers, they are an open house style events.

Upcoming Consultation Events

Keep an eye out for us in your neighbourhood! Residents are encouraged to attend one of the upcoming events across Surrey to learn more about the benefits of this change and share your ideas for the future Surrey Police.

Check back again soon as we will continue to add events across the city.
