Help grow Surrey's urban forest by planting shrubs and trees in Surrey parks and along boulevards.

father and daughter

Since 1991, volunteers have planted thousands of trees and shrubs. Each tree creates shade, improves air quality, provides food and shelter for wildlife, and boosts biodiversity in parks.

We provide the plants, shovels and instruction - just bring your love for beautifying our City and enhancing Surrey's urban forest.

Public Events

Planting trees is the perfect way to connect to nature this fall. Plant each Saturday from September 19 through October. Join us for Arbor Day on September 19, then plant in a different park each Saturday until the end of October.

Space is limited. Pre-registration is required. See a list of upcoming events

Community Groups

Please contact us at stewardship@surrey.ca with any planting enquiries.

Schools

Elementary Schools

Planting can potentially be included as part of our parks school programs.

Secondary Schools

Each spring we plant in community parks and along boulevards. Since these trees are larger, we typically work with secondary school students.

Clubs and classes welcome. Contact us at stewardship@surrey.ca to get involved.
