Haleluya Hailu has managed to turn the stress and angst of growing up and not recognizing yourself into music that anyone could see themselves in. From the moment she could use her voice for anything, it was always to share stories and art. She is a former radio host, activist and one of the producers on her debut ep, Greetings and Salutations.
A hand-clapping, glass-clinking, foot-stomping, sing-a-long, night of entertainment is what you can expect at one of our shows.
We are Happy Hour, a four piece, Celtic-inspired, acoustic band that plays all your favorite drinking songs. Songs that remind you of Ireland, Scotland, Eastern Canada, and beyond. Songs that, even if you are unfamiliar with them, can be sung along to immediately.
Crowds love the return to real musicianship, and revel in the sound of the fiddle, mandolin, acoustic guitars, and banjo. They love songs that remind them of the Old Country, seafaring adventures, or a young, broken heart.

Token Rhyme, now known as Highway Diamond, perform(ed) in Surrey/White Rock, in acoustic and electric combinations from 1996 until present day. We played at Canada Day by the Bay, Sea Fest, and at various venues around town. We had a regular slot at West Beach Bar and Grill for many years, and are presently on the rotation there for 2022. We play crowd-pleasing Americana/Roots-rock such as Blue Rodeo, Tom Petty, Grateful Dead, Lucinda Williams, Johnny Cash, featuring male and female lead vocals, acoustic or electric guitars and mandolin. Primarily performing cover songs, we also play our own similarly inspired compositions.
Highway Diamond Band is a five piece Roots Rock, Canadiana-Americana band, playing great music from great songwriters including some of our own. Decades and decades combined experience rocking together for over five years. We play local venues, charity and corporate events. Deeper cuts and mainstream hits collide from artists including Amy Winehouse, Jully Black, Grateful Dead, John Mellencamp, Tom Petty, Stevie Nicks, Tragically Hip, and more.
I am a singer, songwriter and performer of classic rock. I have released two original albums in the last three years. I play keyboard and harmonica but my true instrument is my voice. I perform classic songs from over five decades with backing tracks.
