INVITATION TO TENDERERS

INTRODUCTION


Tenders for a Stipulated Price Contract (CCDC 2, 2008) are invited by the City of Surrey (the “Owner”) for construction of the twelve (12) district energy transfer stations and interior piping.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Work on this Project generally includes, but is not limited to, the supply, installation and commissioning of mechanical and electrical equipment for the interior piping (and small amount of exterior piping as defined in the optional scope) and twelve energy transfer stations located within newly constructed development building in Surrey City Centre, and other related works in accordance with the Specifications (Project) and Drawings.

INFORMATION MEETING:

An information meeting will be hosted by the Owner’s Representative to discuss the Owner’s requirements under this ITT (the “Information Meeting”). While attendance is at the discretion of Tenderers, Tenderers who do not attend will be deemed to have attended the Information Meeting and to have received all of the information given at the Information Meeting.

This is to provide an opportunity for Contractors to visually see the space of the District Energy rooms and to discuss site access requirements or any other questions.

At the time of issuance of this ITT a meeting has been scheduled as follows:

Note: ALL SITE SAFETY PROTOCOLS MUST BE OBSERVED.

All Contractors will be required to complete a short orientation and all visitors are required to wear PPE (steel toed boots and hard hat) in order to enter the construction sites.

ADDENDA 

If the Owner determines that an amendment is required to this ITT, the Owner’s Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca and the Owner’s website at www.surrey.ca (collectively, the “Websites”) and upon posting will be deemed to form a part of this ITT. It is the responsibility of Tenderers to check Websites for addenda. The only way this ITT may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum. No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this ITT or may be relied upon by any Tenderer. By delivery of a Tender the Tenderer is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire ITT, including any and all addenda.
