City of Surrey Administration
The City Manager heads the administrative component of Surrey. Our City Manager was appointed by Council as the Chief Administrative Officer.
The City is made up of departments, each headed by a General Manager. These general managers make up the Senior Management Team (SMT) which meets regularly to discuss corporate-wide issues and generate solutions to corporate administrative or operational problems and recommend options to Council on policy development. Members of this team are responsible to the City Manager for the effective and efficient operation of their respective departments.
