Professional Services, Large Tree Transplanting

REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS

SCOPE OF SERVICES

The work shall consist of transplanting, planting, transporting, and/or storing large deciduous (10+ cm DBH (Diameter at Breast Height) and coniferous (3+ meters tall) trees year-round in various street and park locations throughout the City of Surrey. Approximately 10 trees per year.

The general hours of operations will be 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. Days of operation will be Monday through Friday. No work will be performed on weekends or statutory holidays, except as otherwise agreed to in writing by the City.

The Parks Division reserves the right to inspect the Contractor’s facility and to perform such investigation as may be deemed necessary to ensure that competent personnel and management and suitable storage facilities and equipment/materials that are used in the performance of the Goods and Services.

ADDENDA

If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the City Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid Website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca and the City Website at www.surrey.ca (collectively, the “Websites”), and upon posting, any addenda will form part of this RFQ. It is the responsibility of Contractors to check the Websites for addenda. The only way this RFQ may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum. No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFQ or may be relied upon by any Contractor. By delivery of a Quotation, the Contractor is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFQ, including any and all addenda.
