Request for Quotations

SERVICE REQUIREMENTS

The City invites Quotations from experienced and qualified Contractors to provide watering natural areas services at various locations throughout the City.  The services will consist of the maintenance of vegetation in natural area parks, specifically the watering of newly planted areas.  The services should be done in accordance with British Columbia Landscape and Nursery Association Standards

SCOPE OF SERVICES

  1. The Contractor will provide, at a minimum, all labour, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, inspections, transportation and related services to provide watering natural areas services.
  2. Watering is the application of water via a tank and hose (approximately 400 feet required) and will be applied to the plants in a method that ensures the water penetrates to the root zone of the plants and avoids run-off.
  3. Access to the sites can be made via a truck.
  4. The City will arrange for access by the Contractor to City fire hydrants to fill watering tanks.

Addenda
If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the City’s Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid Website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca (the “BC Bid Website”) and the City Website at www.surrey.ca (the “City Website”) that will form a part of this RFQ.  It is the responsibility of Contractor to check the BC Bid Website and the City Website for addenda.  The only way this RFQ may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum.  No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFQ or may be relied upon by any Contractor.  By delivery of a Quotation, the Contractor is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFQ, including any and all addenda.
