Art Together

Doing a collaborative painting with local artist Jim Adams

Make art, meet friends, and share your ideas!

This is a unique opportunity to create do-it-together art projects and learn a range of art media shoulder-to-shoulder with emerging to established mentoring artists. Free drop-in, all ages welcome.

All sessions take place at Surrey Art Gallery unless otherwise stated.

Upcoming Sessions

October 16 | Electronics workshop with Karen Cancino | 4–6pm

Learn about the basics of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) with mixed media artist/technologist Karen Cancino! Expand your ideas of art and technology and use upcycled materials to construct your own bug robot. Test out your creation by sending it through a collaboratively created maze in the Gallery.

November 20 | Spoken word and poetry with Tawahum Bige | 4–6pm

Voice, Craft & Action: Join Tawahum Bige for a workshop on poetry, performance, land defense, and all the ways they overlap from his Dene & Cree perspective. Learn a little more how to unlock the activist behind your art or the artist behind your activism.
