Surrey, BC – The City of Surrey has once again been recognized as one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People. This marks the 13th consecutive year that the City has received this award, showing our ongoing commitment to the development and success of young talent.

“The long-standing recognition of the City of Surrey as a Top Employer for Young People is a testament to our commitment to hire and develop young workers,” said Mayor Brenda Locke. “With 14% of our full-time employees under 30, the City of Surrey offers many opportunities for young people to grow their careers. Whether it is through a summer recruitment program or practicum placements, the City of Surrey values its young population and is committed to providing them with opportunities to succeed and develop a long-term career here.”

Canada's Top Employers for Young People is an editorial competition that recognizes employers offering the nation’s best workplaces and programs for young people starting their careers. Employers are evaluated by MediaCorp editors based on the committed programs they have in place to attract and retain younger workers.
